OXNARD, Calif. – November 6, 2014 – Scosche Industries, a leading innovator of mobile electronic products and accessories for the automotive aftermarket, is excited to unveil its new Premier and Performance Interfaces at SEMA 2014. These nineteen interfaces are designed to meet a variety of installation needs and retain advanced features such as OnStar, climate control feedback display, vehicle settings menus, Amplified sound systems, Steering wheel control, and now handlebar control for Harley-Davidson 1998-2013.
“The new Scosche interfaces provide our customers with wide variety of functionality to simplify any aftermarket installation, regardless of the level of complexity,” said Kas Alves, EVP Scosche Industries.
Scosche’s new Premier interfaces allow aftermarket AV/AVN head units to display feedback from vehicle systems and send user input back to those systems. This includes factory climate controls, parking assist indicators, vehicle settings menus, with priority switching for aftermarket back up cameras.
The new Performance level interfaces are data driven and feature 12V Accessory (retained accessory power), VSS (speed pulse), parking brake, and reverse outputs. Supported steering wheel controls include volume +/-, mute, track +/-, presets, source/mode, and call answer/end.
The new HDSWC1 Harley-Davidson Handlebar Control Interface retains all handlebar controls including: volume +/-, mute, track +/-, presets, source/mode, and call answer/end.
The handlebar interface, like the new Premium and Performance interfaces, is firmware updateable using Scosche’s RFM (re-flash module) (sold separately).
All the new interfaces will be available at authorized Scosche specialty retailers across the nation later this month.
