Douglasville, Georgia – February 23, 2015 – Omega Research and Development Technologies, Inc. is now shipping the new SM-DVR-901E Driving “HD” Video Recorder. This small recorder mounts on the windshield of the vehicle usually in front of, or near the rear view mirror. This system features a 150-degree wide angle camera with a 6 layer glass lens for clarity. A built in 2.4” TFT monitor is there for instant playback of any recorded incident. The video can be recorded in selectable 1080p or 720p resolutions with or without audio.
“The main purpose of this unit is to guard drivers from fraudulent accident claims by recording all the events that take place in front of the car,” stated Shawn Cooper from Omega. “Just like law enforcement use dash cameras to document traffic stops, commercial drivers and non-commercial drivers can use the 901E to document their own traffic incidents.”
All the video is stored on an included 8 GB micro SD card that can be removed for playback or transferring the video on your PC or compatible Smartphone. You can also remove the entire unit from the suction cup windshield bracket for playback from the mini HDMI or micro USB port.
Since the user interface (Gui), and manuals are in both English & Spanish, the 901E can easily be sold over the counter for a DIY install with the cigarette lighter/12V power outlet harness or use the hardwired harness for a permanent and secure professional installation.
