Meridian Launches Design and Specification Service

October 2015—Meridian America is pleased to announce the launch of its new Design and Specification Service during CEDIA 2015, October 14-17, in Booth 5310 at the Dallas Convention Center.

The new Design and Specification Service, complimentary for Meridian dealers, offers the ability to easily specify systems throughout the entire home – not just a single system solution. The Service is designed to foster synergy between Meridian and its dealers, by providing enhanced audio/video sales tools, allowing the dealer to focus on other aspects of the installation.

“We know the value of our dealers as the direct link to Meridian owners,” said Ken Forsythe, VP of Meridian America. “It is important to offer this Service at no cost, to provide our dealers with the best tools when specifying Meridian. We are experts in our products and by making our resources widely available to our dealers we can actively participate and support the sales process. We can also quickly identify any issues in the speciation of systems that might result in less than optimum performance. Meridian America clearly understands that our growth is determined by the success of our dealers and ultimately by the satisfaction of our clients. This Service is one of many steps in refocusing Meridian America on the Custom Integration Channel and ensures that we can deliver consistent best in class performance through our dealers to our mutual clients.”

This Service shows not only room layout and speaker positions (for two channel and theatre systems) but also wiring diagrams. In addition it illustrates how Meridian components can interface with existing audio and video distribution systems as well as automation systems. The Service makes it easy to integrate both analog and digital sources into our unique DSP loudspeakers, all over the home.

To begin the proposal process, dealers simply need to provide Meridian with a plan of the room, house, or room dimensions, and email it to [email protected]. Meridian will provide co-branded drawings of the suggested system layout, along with a wiring diagram. If a dealer has a preferred projector or screen they would like to use, this can also be included in the proposal.

The Design & Specification Service can be applied to offer support on home theatres, basic room acoustics, high performance two channel systems, as well as distributed audio around the home, and conforms to the ANSI/CEA/CEDIA CEB 22 Home Theater Practice document. Marine applications will also be considered for this Service.
