Galvanic Announces Availability of HIPAA-Compliant Pip at Best Buy

DUBLIN, IRELAND – Galvanic, Ltd.; committed to connected health solutions that empower people to take control of their health and mental well-being, today announced that their flagship product Pip, a HIPAA-compliant wireless biofeedback device, is now available for purchase from BestBuy.com.

Pip is an easy-to-use and affordable system that helps students, working moms, athletes and busy professionals understand, manage and reduce their stress levels. It is also rapidly gaining popularity with mental health professionals who use the Pip as an at-home complement to other therapies and programs.

With Pip, users can accurately assess daily stress levels and then take proactive steps to manage and reduce that stress using tools, techniques and knowledge that are acquired by using one or more of Pip’s companion apps. It sports a small, sleek teardrop design and features two gold sensors that measure electrodermal activity (EDA) levels, a primary indicator of emotional stress, eight times per second when gently held between the user’s thumb and index finger. Pip pairs with a growing suite of companion apps including ‘Clarity,’ its newest mobile app, in real-time on iOS and Android devices. Using short relaxation exercises and audio feedback, Clarity helps users improve their focus with both guided and un-guided in-app mind exercises designed to foster calm.

Pip also comes with free access to the ‘My Pip’ cloud platform where each user’s Pip analytics are stored after each session for tracking and managing their mental fitness and progress over time, along with free access to easy-to-read charts and graphs, daily insights and real time feedback.

Clarity offers a suite of soundscape themes, including rainy day, ocean walk and urban escape. With Clarity, a user’s changing stress levels are transformed into guiding sounds. When a user is stressed and their mind wanders, the soundscape intensifies and when they are calm the soundscape softens.

“In today’s fast-paced, always on, hectic lifestyle, virtually all of us experience some level of stress on a daily basis, yet few of us are trained in techniques to detect and proactively control that stress,” said David Ingram, CEO of Galvanic, Limited. “Pip is the first HIPAA-complaint consumer stress management device that gives our customers a newfound level of freedom and control over their mental well-being. By leveraging our scientifically developed monitoring device along with our cloud platform paired to companion apps on their iPhone or Android devices we are bringing this life-changing technology within reach of virtually everyone. We are extremely proud to offer our products at Best Buy.com alongside some of the biggest connected health brands on the market.”

Pip comes standard in two color schemes – Artic White and Black Onyx – and has a battery life of 12 hours per charge. Pip is compliant with Apple iPhone 4S and higher, iPad 3 and higher and Android devices running Gingerbread 2.3.3 and higher.

Pricing and Availability
The Pip is available now at BestBuy.com for $179.00. The Clarity app is available free for download at Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
