FIBBR Joins Professional Video Alliance

December 20, 2018—FIBBR, a world leader in long-run HDMI cables using fiber-optic technology, has joined the Professional Video Alliance (PVA) as a charter member. The move demonstrates FIBBR’s strong commitment to the video industry by working with other members of the PVA to benefit everyone interested in high-quality video performance.

Founded by master calibrator Gregg Loewen, the PVA is an alliance of video-product manufacturers and video professionals, such as integrators, installers, and calibrators, who understand that collaboration and cooperation are far better—and more profitable—than working in isolation. PVA members share best practices and offer support to each other at trade shows and other events.

In addition, the PVA offers product certification by independent testing labs to assure integrators and consumers that certified products perform as advertised. The PVA also offers calibrator training; those who complete the training become PVA Certified Video Professionals listed in a worldwide locator database on the PVA website.

Along with FIBBR, current PVA members include Blue Jeans Cable, colorimeter makers Klein Instruments and Jeti, test-pattern generator provider Murideo, UHD Blu-ray calibration-disc maker Diversified Video Solutions, calibration-software developer Portrait Displays/SpectraCal, video-processor manufacturer Lumagen, and professional organizations HAA (Home Acoustics Alliance), International Colorist Academy, and Colorist Society International.
