Brodmann Acoustics Announces US Experience Center

Two dedicated showrooms featuring the Brodmann experience, ready for early 2017

Vienna, Austria—November 2016—Brodmann Acoustics, manufacturer of handcrafted statement loudspeakers, is thrilled to announce that construction has begun on its US Experience Center. The facility, located in Culver City, California, is hosted in conjunction with Jeff Haas, principal of Haas Entertainment.  The theater and two-channel listening rooms are scheduled to be completed in early 2017.

“The Experience Center is for new dealers from across the country to experience Brodmann Acoustics, and for existing Brodmann dealers who want to bring clients in for the full Brodmann experience,” said Brad Paulsen, Brodmann’s National Sales Manager. “Our goal is to provide training, demonstration, and immersion in the Brodmann culture. As we continue to build brand presence here in the US, it is important to offer a facility in which we have control of the installation, incredible acoustics and opportunities to maximize our time with the customer.”

The Experience Center’s 14-seat theater room will feature Brodmann Acoustics’ new in-wall speaker system in a 15-channel Dolby Atmos array, partnered with products from many leading industry brands including Datasat, Crestron, D-Cinema and more.

The two-channel listening room will feature eight models of Brodmann Acoustics floor standing loudspeakers, including the flagship JB205 system, as well as Brodmann’s unique high-performance on-wall models, all featuring the patented “Acoustic Active” design employing soundboards. This room will be driven by state-of-the art source components, both analog and digital, including a 24-terabyte, touchscreen-driven digital system, electronics from Electrocompaniet, and analog support from Thorens and DH Labs.

To mark the opening of the Experience Center, Brodmann will introduce four new models of in-wall loudspeakers in the state of the art theater, ranging in price from $5,000 to $20,000/per pair.  The in-walls will also feature Brodmann’s patented Acoustic Active Principle, which uses the soundboard technology to deliver a linear, organic-sounding bass response that is unique in the loudspeaker industry, and eliminates the need for the typical “Band-Aids” used in virtually all other box speakers. This makes possible the elimination of internal crossover manipulation and damping materials, both of which create problems and distortions in the attempts to tame bass resonances generated inside the speaker cabinet.

About Brodmann Acoustics

Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, since 1796, Brodmann Acoustics was established when Joseph Brodmann launched Brodmann Pianos, whose early customers included the legendary composer Ludwig van Beethoven. In 1828, Brodmann retired and passed the company on to his young apprentice, Ignaz Bösendorfer, who renamed the company. In 1998, the Bösendorfer company partnered with Hans Deutsch for exclusive rights to market Deutsch’s loudspeaker designs. In 2004, executives within Bösendorfer moved to restart Brodmann Pianos, using the existing Bösendorfer factory, and leading to the exclusive partnership of Deutsch and Brodmann.

Today, Brodmann manufactures beautifully sculpted, handcrafted, high-performance loudspeakers under the guiding principle that a product should be designed in the same manner as musical instruments, and not merely to reproduce the sounds of those instruments. The name of Joseph Brodmann is a driving force behind the company’s uniqueness and high standard of quality. For more information, please visit www.brodmann.at.
