World Wide Stereo Adds Four

Hatfield, Pa. – World Wide Stereo, the Philadelphia-area A/V specialty chain, has expanded its corporate and store operations with four new hires.

President and co-founder Bob Cole said the appointments reflect a major growth phase for the company, as it expands its e-commerce, custom integration/installation and retail sales.

The new staffers include:

  • Stephanie Keough, who joins the company from apparel merchant Ascena Retail Group as sell-through manager and junior buyer. Her responsibilities include identifying potential brand and product opportunities, building relationships with key suppliers, managing brand setup and new item setup processes, developing collaborative marketing and promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements;
  • Rommy Marquez, who was named .net programmer, responsible for designing and developing software and web pages for the chain’s e-commerce sites wwstereo.com and headphoneauthority.com;
  • Belinda Short, who joins World Wide as an administrative assistant responsible for customer service and administrative support for the corporate office.  Short has worked in the CE industry for nearly eight years, most recently as a credit manager for Tech Source Distribution, and;
  • Lauren Heller, who was brought on as a retail and customer experience support representative in the company’s Ardmore, Pa., showroom.

“World Wide Stereo is focused on building a strong infrastructure with these key hires,” Cole said.

The privately-held business operates two showrooms and is a member of the ProSource buying group.
