Bentonville, Ark. – Walmart has reduced the contract price of Apple’s iPhone 5s and 5c models.
Effective this morning, the discount chain has shaved $50 off its previous price for a 16GB iPhone 5s, dropping it to $99, and has lowered the 16GB iPhone 5c from $49 to $29. The 32GB models have been also been reduced, to $199 and $129, respectively, and price cuts are also expected on the 64GB units.
The deals are available in-store only, and require a two-year carrier contract.
Walmart has temporarily sale-priced the phones in the past, but today’s price moves are permanent, the retailer said, and come in advance of Apple’s anticipated iPhone 6 launch this fall.
