Why:Founded in 1984 by CEO Michael Krasny, the company offers competitive prices on computers, software, networking, peripherals, accessories and custom configurations for small to mid-size businesses and consumers, with lifetime phone and online technical support. The top authorized direct source of Compaq, IBM, Microsoft, Toshiba and other brands, CDW brought its direct-market model to the web by leveraging its strong vendor relationships, carrier agreements and 300,000-square-foot warehouse.
