About 6% of CDW's $1.7 billion revenue stream was derived from online sales last year, and the new enhancements should further boost its virtual business. Highlights include color-coded navigation and shopping tools, added search features that sort, filter and index results, optimized page lengths to minimize scrolling, and "at a glance" coupons and product comparisons.

The top authorized direct source of Compaq, IBM, Microsoft, Toshiba and other brands, CDW brought its direct-market model to the web by leveraging its strong vendor relationships, carrier agreements and 300,000-square-foot warehouse.
