Target Tips Its Black Friday Hand

Target has laid its Black Friday cards on the table.

The discounter’s game plan calls for a Thanksgiving Day opening at 6 p.m., with stores remaining open for business until 10 p.m., 11 p.m. or midnight on Black Friday, depending on locale.

Select Black Friday deals will be offered online and through Target’s Cartwheel app the day before Thanksgiving as part of a “Black Friday Presale,” and all sale items will be available at Target.com, along with free shipping, beginning “early Thanksgiving morning,” the company said.

Sales will include:

*a 50-inch Hisense 4K UHD TV for $250;

*the Apple Watch Series 1, starting at $198, down from $270;

*Powerbeats 2 wireless earphones for $90, regularly $200;

*the iPad Air 2, starting at $274, down from $400; and

*Fitbits’ Charge HR for $89.95, regularly $129.95.

The chain is kicking things off today through tomorrow with an “Early Access Sale” that includes 25 percent off all Apple TV models, and, as previously reported, will bring back last year’s “10 Days of Deals” promotion, with daily deals offered Nov. 19-28.

“During the holidays our guests are looking for the best deal,” said Mark Tritton, Target’s recently-named executive VP and chief merchandising officer. “They also want incredible products and a great experience. Target is prepared to deliver all that and more through compelling savings across our broad assortment.”

To help make those deals more accessible, the retailer will also offer extended holiday store hours throughout December, including:

*Dec. 17-23: All stores open at 7 a.m. to midnight

*Dec. 24: All stores open at 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.

*Dec. 25: Closed for Christmas

*Dec. 26: All stores open at 7 a.m. and close 10 p.m., 11 p.m. or midnight.
