The retailer, which will open its doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and not shut them again until 11 p.m. or midnight the close of Black Friday, released its Turkey Day and Black Friday ad on Monday.
Consumers who spend $75 or more on Black Friday will receive a 20 percent discount to use toward a future purchase Dec. 4-13. The chain is also planning a “10 Days of Deals” promotion that runs Nov. 22 to Dec. 1.
Regarding the marathon-long opening, Target said in a statement: “Target works closely with its team members to understand scheduling preferences for the holidays and compensates all hourly team members who work on a national holiday, including Thanksgiving, with pay equal to time-and-a-half their hourly rate. Also, all hourly team members who work certain shifts on Thanksgiving and Black Friday will receive additional compensation on top of holiday premium pay.”
