Storis, a provider of retail software solutions and services, is now offering its Data Warehouse platform in the Cloud.
The program, introduced in 2002, allows retailers to store static data outside of their transactional retail system for the purpose of data mining. Its applications include building user-defined queries to uncover strategic intelligence, Storis said.
The new deployment model allows retailers on a shared Cloud environment to also take advantage of this business intelligence tool.
“This makes one of our most impactful and utilized business intelligence tools universally available to all of our current and future retail partners,” said sales VP Mark Ricciardi. “Our development team tackled the challenge of making a technology formerly restrained by technical infrastructure available to Cloud clients of all sizes and at an affordable price.”
Data Warehouse is SQL-based, which makes running analyses on retail data efficient and flexible, Storis said. The company also offers report-writing services and various training curriculums on Storis’ file structure, with specifics in creating SQL queries.
The company, founded in 1989, provides point-of-sale, mobile processing, supply-chain management, customer care, accounting, e-commerce solutions, business intelligence and other services to some 400 CE, appliance, bedding and furniture retailers.
