Stampede, a leading distributor of integrated, custom-designed commercial A/V and IT solutions for resellers and integrators, has hired industry veteran John Fuqua to lead a renewed emphasis on pro audio.
The initiative, explained Stampede president/COO Kevin Kelly, “is about the launch of a long-term commitment by this company to make professional audio as important a part of our business as is digital signage, video, presentation, and unmanned aerial vehicles.”
He said Fuqua, who joins Stampede as audio product manager from Pensacola, Fla., integrator Pro Sound, has “the experience, the knowledge, and the passion required to achieve this objective for us, and for our customers.”
Indeed, during his 22 years at Pro Sound, Fuqua held a number of increasingly important sales, marketing, and management positions, including VP, co-director and design, sales and project manager of the commercial systems division. He also holds CTS and DMC-D4K certifications, among others.
“I look forward to building on the value-added services that have positioned Stampede as a leader in the pro A/V technology market,” Fuqua said.
Kelly added that Stampede is uniquely positioned to become a dominant player in pro audio distribution due to the thousands of installations it already supplies every year featuring video, signage and connectivity solutions.
