Warren Chaiken’s all wet.
At least he will be, along with other members of the Almo Corp. management team, when the appliance and electronics distributor holds a “Splash For Cash” charity event at its Philadelphia headquarters next Tuesday (July 18).
Chaiken, president/CEO of the 71-year-old business, will take his place in a standard dunk tank at 12:45 p.m., giving employees and guests a chance to settle any scores by pitching three balls for $5, or going straight to the dunk lever for $25.
All funds raised at the summer soaker will go to the American Cancer Society, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
The festivities begin at 11 a.m. at 2709 Commerce Way in Philly, and a complimentary cookout courtesy of Danby, Honeywell and KitchenAid kicks off at noon.
Out-of-towners can still participate by making a GoFundMe donation here, and by following the action live on Facebook here.
