Spire Celebrates 15 Years Of Tech Integration

Each spring Spire Integrated Systems holds a major thank-you shindig for customers and vendors at its Troy, Mich., headquarters and showroom.

This year’s gathering, however, was extra special.

This time, the event also celebrated Spire’s 15th year of selling and installing cutting-edge residential and commercial technology in the greater Detroit area, and drew nearly 100 manufacturers, luxury home builders, architects, interior designers and clients.

The two-day jamboree was Spire’s largest ever, and featured special displays and hands-on demonstrations from top brands like Sonance, Control4, Savant, Lutron, Meridian, Master & Dynamic and Sony.

Highlights included Detroit’s first look at Sony’s newest front projectors and demos of it high dynamic range (HDR) TVs; tours of Spire’s newly remodeled home-theater demonstration room; relaxing with Sonance’s sophisticated SLS outdoor A/V entertainment system; and even playing a few holes on a virtual green with AboutGolf’s indoor golfing simulator.

“We wanted to show the latest in high technology — the latest in high-end systems,” said Spire president Navot Shoresh. “We feel that folks in Michigan in general, and in Detroit specifically, don’t always get the opportunity to see the higher-level technology. So we wanted to help them see what is truly possible with the latest residential and commercial technology solutions.”

Indeed, Spire, a member of the Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA), maintains a state-of-the-art showroom that allows clients to experience technology in a variety of fully-functional lifestyle vignettes, including a conference room, an outdoor patio setting and a complete home theater.

“We succeeded in presenting our clients with the latest in home entertainment technologies, in a comfortable, home-like setting,” Shoresh said. “This event stimulates their thinking and creativity as they can now see the latest technologies not in their dreams, but in a real setting much like their home.”

Ryan Donaher, national sales manager for Spire vendor Meridian America, was sold. “Spire recently renovated their theater room and as a result not a single Meridian product can be seen,” he said. “But it is one of the best sounding theater rooms I have ever been in. Customers loved it.”

Donaher added that Spire’s anniversary event was “so good it should be a model for all Meridian dealers.”

Now that’s something to aspire to.
