Clearwater, Fla. — Sony Mobile Communications U.S. will offer its smartphones, tablets and accessories such as wearables to the reseller channel through TechData’s systems and peripherals IT division.
TechData will offer activation service through its mobile solutions division.
By adding the Sony Xperia lineup, said product marketing VP Wendy Maurer-Linsky, “we are further enabling solution providers to capture the opportunities that exist in the mobile market, including expanded merchandising and solutions bundling, to offer their end-user customers a complete solution.”
Takeshi Ishida, sales VP at Sony Mobile, called it “important to us to bring the full ecosystem of Sony products and experiences as a perfect complement to Tech Data’s S&P division.”
TechData sells to 115,000 resellers in more than 100 countries.
