Separately, service management firm Service Net Solutions has partnered with new and existing service providers to launch three new PC service programs this summer.
The Jeffersonville, Ind.-based business has partnered with The CyberAngel to offer theft recovery assistance and data protection on notebook computers. If unauthorized access occurs on a stolen or misplaced notebook, the owner is notified and CyberAngel uses encryption, locking data to protect the security of the computer’s contents.
Online data backup, provided through a partnership with Carbonite, is available to consumers to back up an unlimited number of their personal computer files. Carbonite encrypts data before it is stored and houses it on a server accessible via the Internet for easy recovery.
A cleaning and maintenance program has also been established through a partnership with Nexicore to extend the life and improve the performance of notebook computers.
