Proclaiming that it’s “back and better than ever,” RadioShack has released an eight-page Thanksgiving/Black Friday digital ad that’s heavy on headphones, hobby kits, RC toys and Wi-Fi gear.
“We spent the last six months restocking our stores,” the ad reads — as the company has in fact done following its bankruptcy, liquidation and rebirth earlier this year — although the assortment is similar to Christmases past.
The lead item is a 7-inch Amazon Fire tablet bundle with case and 32GB memory card for $55. It shares p. 1 space with a $40 micro drone and a $60 3D drawing pen that, intentionally or not, is shown with a sketch of the Eiffel Tower.
Stores will be open an extra hour on Wednesday, Nov. 25 (from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.), and will reopen for five hours on Thanksgiving beginning at 8 a.m.
In addition, the company recently re-added e-commerce functionality to its website, and is offering free shipping on all orders.
