Fort Worth, Texas – RadioShack’s chief financial officer John Feray has resigned after less than seven months in that post.

He will be succeeded on an interim basis by Holly Etlin, a managing director at consultancy AlixPartners, which has been advising the chain.

Etlin also served as interim CFO prior to Feray’s appointment in February.

The departure, disclosed this morning in an 8-K filing, comes as the beleaguered CE retailer seeks new investors and capital to stave off insolvency.

RadioShack said Feray resigned on Friday, citing personal reasons.

Feray previously served as finance and strategy senior VP for Dollar General, where he helped return the company to the public markets in 2009.
