Pittsburgh — Following what they described as “a strong showing” at InfoComm 2015, the members of the PowerHouse Alliance distributor group are anticipating a profitable summer season highlighted by a host of regional events and a revamped training series.
Kicking things off is California-based distributor Volutone, which will welcome contractors and custom integrators to its Van Nuys headquarters for its fourth annual SoCal Surveillance and Intrusion Showcase on July 1.
With live demos, giveaways, on-site trainings and nearly 35 leading security and smart-home vendors, this event will provide dealers with the opportunity to see the latest security solutions and applications first hand, the distributor said, while garnering valuable face-time with brand reps.
Highlights will include hands-on manufacturer trainings from Digital Watchdog, 2GIG, Kwikset and others, and chow from from West Coast favorite, In-N-Out Burger.
“As we continue to grow in the security and surveillance space, we strive to highlight our accomplishments each year with this showcase and make sure our dealers are up-to-date on both products and trainings ,” said Volutone president Trevor Hansen. “This event continues to grow each year, and with over 30 vendors on board, there will be plenty of opportunities to experience the latest in the security market, all in one place.”
To close out the month, fellow PowerHouse member Ultimate Integration will sponsor its third annual BBQ Bash and Tradeshow for dealers and integrators on July 30 at company headquarters in Clifton, N.J. On tap will be a full day of product demos, displays, trainings, prizes and discounts on popular products. Major brands including PowerHouse vendor partners Yamaha and URC will provide informational sessions, best install practices and other gatherings.
“Our annual BBQ Bash is always a fun and productive setting for us to connect with our dealers as business thrives during the summer months,” said sales director Alan Malowitz. “Our local dealers and integrators will not only be able to network with popular brands but will also walk away with some valuable business tools and incentives.”
