Office Depot is getting a jumpstart on Black Friday weekend with a staggered pre-holiday sale running Oct. 29 through Nov. 18.
Among the deals, the No. 2 office supply chain and its OfficeMax division will offer what it described as the “lowest price ever” on a Lenovo Flex 5 15.6-inch 2-in-1 touchscreen laptop with Intel Core i5 processor and Windows 102, at $530, down from $800.
Another indicated all-time low is a laptop bundle featuring a 15.6-inch HP with AMD A10 processor with one year of Microsoft Office 365 Personal; a Logitech M325 wireless mouse; and a one-year subscription for McAffee’s Antivirus Plus software.
“Customers are shopping earlier each year,” said Marko Ibrahim, the chain’s senior VP, North America retail. “By offering more deals on tech, services, furniture and more, earlier and weekly until Black Friday, we hope to make the holiday shopping experience even better for them.”
BFAds, the shopping advice site that tracks such things, believes the promotion represents the earliest Black Friday pre-sale yet, although “a lot of these prices are either the same everywhere else right now, or they are only a small discount off of the current price,” the holiday sale trackers said.
For early risers, the chain will also mount an online-only series of “Every Monday is Cyber Monday” sales from 4 a.m. to 3:59 a.m. on Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20.
