Los Angeles — Folks joke about “Black November” as holiday promotions begin ever sooner, but Newegg.com is making it official.
The e-tailer is bringing back its Black November program of month-long weekly discounts, which will culminate in a special on-site event at its hybrid distribution center and store here on Nov. 28.
To kick things off, the company has partnered with PayPal to offer $20 off orders of $200 or more placed on Nov. 1-2.
“Black November is Newegg’s way of rewarding its customers with deep discounts offered throughout the entire month of November,” said Newegg chief marketing officer Soren Mills. “We expect a strong holiday purchasing season and we’re delivering a non-stop supply of great deals to meet that demand.”
Examples of forthcoming discounts include a 3TB Seagate Backup Plus USB 3.0 external hard drive, a Changhong 50-inch 1080p LED HDTV, and Polk’s Audio Monitor60 Series II floorstanding loudspeaker.
The Nov. 28 event at Newegg’s Hybrid Center will feature special on-site deals and philanthropic opportunities through the company’s continued partnership with Give Back Box, which provides free shipping labels for customers to repack their shipping boxes with donations for Goodwill.
Newegg’s Black November promotion returns for its sixth year.
