AVB Marketing, the dedicated ad agency for the AVB (Associated Volume Buyers) buying group, has found a new home in Sacramento, Calif., to accommodate its expanding ranks.
Previously, said AVB chief marketing officer John White, the marketing group was dispersed across multiple locations. The new facility, he noted, provides ample space for collaboration between all of the agency’s teams — including account management, marketing operations, content, design, development, catalog and IT — and leaves room for future staff additions.
White said the relocation also sets the stage for further development of the group’s digital marketing tools and website initiatives like the recently launched Alta 360, a new turnkey web platform.

Indeed, digital marketing, website design and related services have become the new battleground for independent dealers and their respective buying groups, as local retailers continue to defend their turf from Amazon and large omnichannel chains.

To mark the move-in, AVB Marketing will hold a month-long “Grand Re-Opening” promotion in May, in which AVB members will have a shot at winning over $30,000 in giveaways.
Member-owned AVB (known for a time as BrandSource) boasts more than $19 billion in annual sales from its 4,500 dealer members and their 8,000-plus showrooms.
