NATM’s Warehouse Discount Center Adds Sub-Zero, Wolf

Warehouse Discount Center (WDC), a TWICE Top 50 appliance retailer and recent addition to the NATM Corp. buying group, has added premium brand Sub-Zero and corporate sibling Wolf to its white-goods assortment.

The Southern California majap, CE and plumbing supply chain said it is now carrying a full line of Sub-Zero and Wolf kitchen products, including cooktops, built-in refrigerators and pro-style ranges.

In a statement, WDC CEO Shayne Schlender said the new partnership “completes [our] assortment of products in the premium space, further enhancing our overall customer experience.”

The independent dealer was founded in 1982 and operates seven showrooms of varying size in Agoura Hills, Burbank, Chatsworth, Moorpark, Oxnard, Santa Barbara and Torrance, Calif., including a 30,000-square-foot flagship store in Agoura Hills.

The chain joined the big-box NATM group last September as its 11th member.

“Everyone in the NATM family is excited about the addition of a retailer of Warehouse Discount Center’s caliber,” executive director Jerry Satoren said at the time. “They trade in a very upscale, affluent market and deliver an equally upscale high-end product mix.”

WDC’s appliance sales rose 4 percent in 2014 to $54 million, landing it at 37th place on the TWICE appliance hit parade. Founder Tom Schlender credits its success to an expert sales staff with an average of 17 years of experience.

The 2016 TWICE Top 50 Appliance Retailers rankings will be released on June 6.
