Nationwide Members Donated 1,100+ Mattresses During PrimeTime

New collaboration with Tempur Sealy International, Serta Simmons Bedding & Restoni to help No Child Hungry

Nationwide Marketing Group provided more details on the charitable impact its members made during the group’s recent PrimeTime event.

Continuing a tradition of supporting No Child Hungry, the food distribution program of Orlando, Fla.-based My Neighbor’s Children, PrimeTime extended beyond meal packing with a new collaborative initiative involving furniture and bedding members Tempur Sealy International, Serta Simmons Bedding and Restonic.

Nationwide members were able to purchase a twin-sized bedding set for a uniform low price during PrimeTime — regardless of their status as bedding dealers — and donate the beds to locations No Child Hungry has identified as being in need. Over 1,100 mattresses were donated, according to NMG, and they’ll be delivered to the No Child Hungry distribution center in the coming months and placed in orphanages across the U.S. and in Haiti later this year.

Said Tom Hickman, Nationwide’s president, in a statement: “The collective efforts of our members, vendors and our team continue to amaze me, as the power of this network delivers on the commitment we made together to give back.”

The group also released a video showcasing its visit to Haiti last year. It intends to return this year.
