Monster Gives Its Blaster A Boost At Fry’s

Monster recently held a Taking it to the Streets event at Fry’s Electronics in Sunnyvale, Calif., to mark the launch of its hefty Blaster boombox.

Local radio station KMEL-FM hosted the event, which featured product demos that let consumers pelt the boombox with water balloons to test its waterproofing. There were also giveaways and a breakdancing competition with the area’s best dancers.

The $399 Blaster boombox, first debuted at CES 2016 in January, features Bluetooth and NFC pairing, 360-degree sound, a 12-hour battery life, and a completely waterproof construction. It measures 18 inches long and weighs nearly 17 pounds.
