Micro Center’s Black Friday Sale On Now

Updated!Micro Center has ants in its pants.

Not waiting for next week, the No. 1 IT specialty retailer began its Black Friday sale yesterday.

According to merchandising VP Kevin Jones, the 25-store chain has discounted hundreds of products, available in showrooms and online, and is extending the sale out to Dec. 4.

The company similarly preempted Black Friday last year.

And in line with this season’s growing trend, Micro Center stores will be closed on Thanksgiving and will reopen at 8 a.m. the following morning.

Deals include:

*a 7-inch Azpen Innovation A746G tablet with 1.33GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB SSD storage and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS for $30;

*a 24-inch Dell 1080p LED gaming monitor (model SE2417HGR) for $100;

*a 40-inch Westinghouse 40-inch 1080p LED-TV (model WD40FX1450) with 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time and 3 HDMI ports for $180;

*Intel’s Core i5-6600K SkyLake 3.5GHz LGA 1151 boxed Pprocessor for $180;

*PowerSpec’s G220 gaming desktop with Intel Core i5-6500 unlocked processor; MSI B150 PC Mate system board powered by a 500W PSU; 16GB DDR4-2133 RAM; a 1TB hard drive and 250GB SSD; and a GTX 1060 6GB discrete video card, for $800; and

*MSI’s GP62 15.6-inch gaming laptop with Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz processor; 16GB DDR4-2133 RAM; 1TB, 7,200RPM hard drive and 250GB SSD; and GTX 1060 discrete video card for $1,200.
