Memphis, Tenn. — Mega Group USA, the bedding, appliance and CE buying group, has added more field market managers and inside support personnel to its staff.
According to Mega president Rick Bellows, the additions were made in response to the group’s expanding member ranks.
“‘Feet on the street’ has been one of Mega’s core principles since our inception,” Bellows said. “We continue to add new members weekly. To accommodate this growth we need to hire and train more field and inside support staff.”
New field staff additions include Tammie Bridges, Nick Breeding and Mike Robinson.
Bridges spent 15 years in Whirlpool’s training division, and more recently helped managed an independent majap dealer. She will cover the Indiana, Ohio and south Michigan markets.
Breeding joins Mega after helping run his family’s appliance dealership for 15 years, and will manage the Missouri, Illinois and Iowa markets.
Robinson brings over 20 years of wholesale and retail sales management experience to Mega, and will cover Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Dakotas.
New additions to Mega’s in-house support program, launched earlier this year, include Melissa Johnson and Neely Parker. Both will assist member dealers directly and support the field market managers.
“It’s imperative for our organization to make sure we are constantly available for our members to answer question, review programs and guide them to the information they seek,” Bellows noted.
Mega, based here, has over 1,700 furniture, electronics, appliance and bedding dealers representing 2,500 storefronts throughout the U.S. The group provides such services as health and business insurance, group vendor programs, custom advertising and marketing services, consulting, store merchandising, and information technology support aimed at driving floor traffic, improving sales and profits and enhancing operating efficiencies.
