The two-day retreat, held in Jacksonville, Fla., blended business techniques with peer-group support to maximize the classroom instruction. Discussions touched on leadership, company culture, training, financing and marketing, and by the end of the program each member dealer committed to a customized tactical action plan and an “accountability partner” to support them with the implementation.
Attendees, representing a dozen Mega dealerships, celebrated the course’s completion by attending the first-ever Jacksonville appearance by Pearl Jam, as part of the band’s 25th anniversary tour. According to the Florida Times-Union, the band offered up 32 songs during the nearly three-hour concert, including two seven-song encores that ended with “Yellow Ledbetter.”
The Mega dealers will be able to continue their Leadership Retreat dialogue through a private group-chat portal through which they can share advertising ideas, ask questions, receive exclusive training, learn new techniques, and hold each other accountable to the goals they set, the group said.
