And so it’s begun.
Kohl’s Black Friday circular was unveiled last night, making it the first major full-line retailer to enter the doorbuster derby.
According to a leaked ad appearing on shopping advisory sites BFAds and BestBlackFriday, the junior department store will release its first round of Black Friday deals online at 12:01 a.m. (CT) on Monday, Nov. 20.
Promo sales for Black Friday proper will begin online at a minute past minute (CT) on Thanksgiving Day, and Kohl’s will open its store doors at 5 p.m. that afternoon, one hour earlier than last year.
Tech items dominate the opening pages of the 64-page sales circular, beginning front and center with a 55-inch Haier 4K UHD TV for $300.
Other items of note include:
*a 49-inch LG 4K UHD TV for $400;
*a 55-inch Samsung 4K UHD Samsung for $500 plus $150 in “Kohl’s Cash” shopping credits;
*a 1TB Sony PlayStation 4 console for $200; and
*a Canon EOS Rebel TB D-SLR bundle for $450.
Not to be outdone, Kohl’s new in-store partner Amazon will also be represented on Black Friday, with a $20-off doorbuster deal on Echo Dot that brings the retail down to $30.
