Ivey Gets NSCA Lifetime Award

Phoenix – Loyd Ivey, chairman/CEO of Mitek,
is the 2009 recipient of the Per Haugen Lifetime Achievement Award from the
National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA).

This annual award
is given to a leader that time and time again has proven to be a dedicated and
sincere champion for the electronics and communications community, NSCA said in
a statement.

“I am humbled to
receive this award. This is the most prestigious award in the commercial sound
business. A lifetime achievement award is something I am very proud to accept,
but I’m really just getting started. The continued education of our industry
and the hard work done by NSCA will remain a top priority for me,” said Ivey.

According to NSCA,
Ivey received the award for his years of dedication, leadership and service to
NSCA, including the NSCA Education Foundation Board, the NSCA Expo Committee,
and his support at many of NSCA’s events and activities, including the Fall
Business Conference, now the Business and Leadership Conference.

“Loyd has been an
integral part of this industry,” said Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director.
“He has committed himself and his company to improving the industry from the
commercial side to the consumer end. We are fortunate that Loyd has been a part
of NSCA, helping us to grow our foundation and promote and support our programs
and services.”

The award was
announced during the recent NSCA Members Meeting and Loyd was also recognized
at the President’s Reception as part of the 2009 InfoComm Expo in Orlando, Fla.
