HTSA Holding Social Media Webinar

Barrington, Ill. – The Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) will hold its first online training session in social media next week.

The webinar, which was created exclusively for the buying group’s members and vendors, will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. EST.

HTSA said it developed the program for members looking to leverage social media marketing, strengthen web visibility and organically grow their business.

“Our success depends on that of our specialty retailers, custom integrators and vendors,” said HTSA managing director Bob Hana. “With that in mind we want to ensure our members have access to the tools they need to substantially grow their business.”

 He noted that social media is a driving factor for growing brands and uncovering new business opportunities, and that “effective social media use opens the door to more real-time access and engagement with current and potential consumers, which in turn results in more qualified, targeted business leads.”

The interactive training sessions will run approximately 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes open for questions and commentary. The training will review key social media players including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest, and will provide HTSA members with detailed advice and best practices for how to best leverage each tool to effectively develop a cohesive online voice, the group said.

Specifically, the webinar will provide the latest recommendations and guidance for developing user-friendly, optimized social media profiles while exploring the value of each social platform and its unique strengths with regard to business development.

Members will also learn from peer case studies to see first-hand how social media has helped to increase business in the home technology market.

Topics will include:
* Where to begin: The art of optimizing social media profiles;
* Utilizing social media as an effective customer service tool;
* Facebook-posting etiquette;
* Making the most of each “tweet” and how to add value with SEO-friendly hashtags, and;

* How to leverage advanced engagement strategies through YouTube and Pinterest.

HTSA members can
register for the 11 a.m. session here and the 4 p.m. session here. The webinars will also be recorded for future access.
