In its first post-Black Friday promotion, hhgregg is conducting a one-day Samsung sweepstakes that is sure to brighten somebody’s yuletide.
The regional CE, appliance and home furnishings chain will award a Samsung home theater bundle featuring:
* a 55-inch 4K smart TV (model UN55JU6400), currently selling for $800;
* a soundbar and subwoofer combo (model HWJ550), currently selling for $330; and
* a near-Ultra HD up-scaling Blu-ray player (model BDH6500), inaccurately identified as 4K and currently selling for $130.
In launching the promotion, the retailer cited a recently commissioned consumer survey in which 34 percent of respondents said they would be “most excited to receive a 4K Ultra HD TV this holiday season over other electronics gifts.”
Chairman/CEO Dennis May has similarly expressed high hopes for the advanced display technology, noting last month that “We’re anticipating this to be a 4K TV holiday.”
The sweepstakes ends at midnight (ET) tonight, and customers can enter at hhgregg.com/4k-day.
