Good Guys and Brandsmart USA have each signed on with Partsearch Technologies, a New York-based business that provides retailers, manufacturers and service centers with information on, and procurement of, model-specific parts and accessories.
Under the pacts, Partsearch is providing the retailers with its proprietary research service that allows consumers to order replacement parts and accessories via the merchants' Web sites, toll-free phone numbers and dedicated in-store kiosks. The service gives customers direct access to over 8 million SKUs of model-specific replacement parts and accessories representing over 100 brands of CE, majap, PC and cellular products, including such hard-to-find items as remote controls, laptop batteries, dishwasher baskets and AC adapters.
Brandsmart's program is being supported with point-of-purchase displays, in-store signage, a customized co-branded Web interface and a dedicated option on Brandsmart's toll-free number and in-store hotline that routes to Partsearch's inbound call center.
Good Guys' VP/service and logistics Jeff Linden noted that by helping his customers replace even the most obscure parts and accessories, the program will "enhance customer service and customer loyalty while creating a new revenue stream."
