Urbandale, Iowa – It’s been a busy month for national satellite and CE distributor DSI Systems, which added Philips-branded A/V products to its assortment and held its national sales meeting.
The distributor has begun carrying the Philips’ line of smart HD and 4K UHD TVs; Blu-ray, DVD and DVD/VHS combo players; and home theater soundbars, which are produced under license by Funai Electric.
“We believe this brand will meet the needs of our dealers and provide them with an excellent picture performance,” said DSI president/CEO Doug Robison.
Jeff Wojnicz, sales VP of Funai subsidiary P&F USA, added that “Philips is thrilled to launch our new partnership with DSI in 2015.”
Separately, the distributor held its national sales meeting earlier this month in Dallas under the theme “One Mission, One Goal, One DSI.”
During the meeting, the sales team reviewed new products and the company’s vision, and the team attended an awards ceremony recognizing top-performing employees. Guests included Michael Wittrock, sales and distribution senior VP at DirecTV, and Nationwide East director Dave Robison.
“It’s always great to have the entire DSI family together for our annual national sales meeting,” said DSI’s Robison. “We had the privilege this year of several industry leaders speaking to our entire sales team, which was truly inspirational to all in attendance.”
Based here, DSI describes itself as the largest national distributor of 4K, HDTV and home theater TVs, satellite equipment, accessories, appliances and furniture.
