DDG To Distrib. Logitech

SEATTLE — Digital Delivery Group (DDG) announced that it has been selected to distribute Logitech Harmony remote controls to custom audio/video systems installation professionals. Logitech, a manufacturer of computer peripherals and accessories, offers a wide range of advanced programmable universal remote controls. DDG is a consortium of 17 specialty distributors dedicated to helping manufacturers and custom installation professionals provide the latest in fully integrated audio, video, networking and home automation systems to consumers. “Logitech's method for quick and easy setup of the Harmony universal remote through an online database matches Digital Delivery Group's mission of bringing the best convergence products to the CI Channel,” said David Kaplan, executive director of DDG.

AVAD, Toshiba Sign Distrib. Partnership

VAN NUYS, Calif. — AVAD and Toshiba have formed a partnership where the national distributor will add the electronic company's Digital Home Entertainment products to its line. As part of the partnership, AVAD will provide Toshiba's dealers with product training, technical support and inventory access. “We're very excited to have a trusted name like Toshiba behind our efforts to better serve Electronic Systems Contractors nationwide,” said Bob Gartland, president of AVAD. “This partnership is an example of the value-added benefits AVAD can provide its manufacturer partners. We know we can expand Toshiba's leading brand position and growth in custom home electronics.” AVAD also announced that it has opened two new distribution centers, located in Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Gaithersburg, Md.

DBL To Hold Ann. Charity Golf Tourney May 5-6

Scottsdale, Ariz. — DBL Distributing is hosting its 6th annual charity golf tournament and dinner gala on Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6, here. This year's theme, "DBL Derby," is meant to evoke all the thrill and excitement of a traditional thoroughbred horse race. Over the past five years, DBL has raised nearly half a million dollars for local Phoenix charities. The proceeds for this event will be shared by two local charities, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale and The Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Phoenix. ATO Names D&H As Dist. For iSee Video Recorder

SAN CARLOS, Calif. — Advanced Technology Office, LLC (ATO) has signed D&H Distributing to become the first national distributor for ATO's iSeeTM 360i video recorder for iPod. D&H, a national computer and consumer electronics distributor, will service major retailers in North America and provide logistics services to ATO. “D&H is always excited to partner with an innovative manufacturer like ATO, whose video entertainment technologies create new and versatile capabilities for the ever-popular iPod,” said Rob Eby, purchasing director at D&H Distributing. The iSee 360i, was named a “2006 Macworld Best of Show” award winner at the recent Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco. It extends the functionality of most click-wheel Apple iPods to include music, photos, and video recording from any analog source. Playback features a 3.6-inch screen powered by a four-hour rechargeable and replaceable battery. The iSee 360i and a full line of accessories will ship in April.

Electrograph To Hold Annual Display Meeting

San Francisco — Electrograph System will hold its second Display Technology Experience (DTE) of 2006; it will be held on Wednesday, May 3, at the South San Francisco Conference Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free for resellers. Display technologies highlighted at the DTE include: plasma displays, LCD displays, rear-projection TVs, mounts, audio, CAT-5 products, video scalers and interfaces, input cards, touch overlays, tuners and power conditioners.
