D&H's Q4 Sales Up 6%

HARRISBURG, PA. — D&H Distributing, the North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, said strong demand for mobile devices and small-screen HDTVs helped grow sales 6 percent during its fiscal fourth quarter, ended April 30. The biggest increases came in notebook and netbook computers, up 54 percent; HDTVs, also up 54 percent; other mobile devices, up 41 percent; and GPS navigation, up 23 percent, the company reported.

Looking ahead, D&H anticipates growth in HD streaming, USB direct-connect camcorders, consumer data backup, and new LED technologies in HDTV displays.

Internally, the fourth quarter marked the end of the first year for D&H's new management team, led by co-presidents Michael and Dan Schwab, sales senior VP Jeff Davis, and VPs Mary Campbell and Rob Eby. “We've worked hard to focus on … maintaining the profitability of our partners,” said Dan Schwab. “We needed to effectively address our customers' requirements, execute specific support strategies [and] follow through with our vendors' initiatives. By staying committed to both, we've been able to generate growth for ourselves and our accounts, and remain confident that there's still opportunity to come in 2009.”
