D&H Distributing, the 100-year-old two-step supplier, is going back to school this year for its regional tech conferences.
Beginning with this month’s West Coast event in City of Industry, Calif., the company is shifting from a sales-oriented focus to one that emphasizes education and customer engagement.
“We’ve found in recent years that customers were gaining more benefit from the education elements of the show than they could ever get from simple price discounts or sales opportunities,” said marketing VP Mary Campbell.
To that end, Technology Conference: West Coast, or TC18, will feature a new, revolving schedule of seminars to better accommodate attendees. Sessions will be conducted by Cisco, HP, Intel, Lenovo and Microsoft, and will repeat and run concurrently throughout the day.
“Our conference events are constantly evolving,” Campbell said. “The one consistent has been our objective to provide a resource that best helps our customers navigate market changes, supplying them with the tools they need to succeed in the marketplace.”

The event, to be held March 22 at the Pacific Palms Resort, will continue to present vendor displays by more than 60 exhibitors ranging from Acer to WD, plus Cloud solutions by first-time exhibitors Dropsuite, Intermedia and Webroot.
D&H’s services, support and sales teams will also highlight partner resources spanning digital signage, financial services and refurbished products, and the distributor will continue its tradition of Amex gift card door prizes, ranging up to $500.
