Thomas Wolfe wrote “You Can’t Go Home Again,” but D&H Distributing is out to prove him wrong.
Besides offering all manner of IT and CE for the home (and office), the national tech distributor is bringing its annual tech conference road show to Hershey, Pa., this week, just down the road from its Harrisburg headquarters.
The company said its Mid-Atlantic Summer Technology Conference, slated for June 28 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, is expected to draw close to 1,000 attendees and about 100 manufacturers.
The first of this year’s East Coast conferences, the event will feature the latest and greatest from Acer, Asus, APC, CyberPower, Dell, Google, Logitech, Ricoh, StarTech.com, TP-Link, Targus and Western Digital, among others.
New for this year is a revamped Gaming Zone exhibit area, which, with the help of Harrisburg University, the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts and HP, has been transformed into an eSports Gaming Arena. The section will showcase the latest video gaming gear and give attendees a chance to compete with the head coach of Harrisburg U’s eSports team.
The event will also offer a 16-session roster of seminars from Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, HP, HP Enterprise, Brother and Lenovo, and a cybersecurity presentation by IT trainer Global Knowledge, underscoring D&H’s renewed emphasis on educational training at its trade shows.
“We’re excited about our technology conferences and the transformations they experience year after year,” said D&H marketing VP Mary Campbell. “We continue to incorporate the most innovative and market-invigorating developments as they emerge.”
Other highlights will include a new D&H Solutions & Services section; multiple $100 American Express gift card giveaways to mark the company’s 100th anniversary; and a $500 grand prize Amex gift card.
