D&H Targeting Pro A/V Biz

The distributor is expanding its commercial products, resources and staff.

D&H Distributing is going all-out in pursuit of the pro A/V market.

Building on its digital signage base, the nationwide tech distributor is adding a wide range of commercial-channel hardware and support services and has beefed up its pro A/V staff.

The latter is being led by 28-year industry veteran Peter Hurley, formerly of Stampede Presentation Products, Cable & Wireless, Sharp Electronics and Unisys Federal, who joins D&H as ProAV business unit director, a new position.

Hurley and his team of certified specialists will provide unified communication, collaboration video walls, digital signage and other A/V solutions to the retail, healthcare and hospitality sectors for use in classrooms, huddle rooms and boardrooms, D&H said, and the programs will be supported by content creation and installation and Cloud-based services.

“What we’re classifying as pro A/V goes well beyond hardware sales of digital signage or projector products,” Hurley explained. “As the marketplace continues its digital transformation, pro A/V has begun to extend to vital new areas, becoming a more critical component of the greater ecosystem that supports modern commercial environments,” allowing D&H customers to close a greater number of endpoint, networking and collaboration projects.

The distributor will also support the category with dedicated trainings via webcast, its West Coast Technology Conference (March 28 in City of Industry, Calif.) and its upcoming roadshow instructional series, and will also offer consultation-based services covering such areas as digital signage, installations and bill of material reviews.
