Catalyst AV, the 11-member distributor network serving the residential and commercial A/V channels, reported a record year of growth in 2016, with business up 23 percent.
Helge Fischer, executive director, attributed the gains to demand for Internet products — particularly the Eero home Wi-Fi system — plus streamlined group logistics, stepped-up marketing, and ongoing training seminars.
“We only have lines from very solid and financially reliable companies,” Fischer noted, and “the vetting process is fierce. Strong financials, reliable products, superior distribution set up, and service and training have all lead to Catalyst AV success.”
The distributor group has also developed a private-label line of Catalyst AV wire and cable, Lyric speakers and Rapid Mounts “that have created great value and profitability for the custom integrator, while outperforming industry standards,” he said.
The group’s unprecedented growth prompted the addition of two warehouse facilities and 10 staffers, Fischer added. “Catalyst AV had a terrific year.”
