Capitol’s CEDIA Focus Will Be On SKUs, Training

Eagan, Minn. – Capitol, CE distributor for residential systems and pro A/V contractors, specialists, retailers and premium incentive resellers, will focus on how to build business through an ever-expanding product line and an aggressive approach to education during CEDIA Expo next month in Indianapolis.

At booth 4060 Capitol will feature a 110-inch Mitsubishi video wall, which is among the fastest-growing categories in the pro A/V market, as part of its display. For in-booth presentations, it will have a Peerless U Board interactive whiteboard, which is also a growing opportunity for pro A/V contractors, the distributor said.

“Capitol’s success is inextricably linked to our dealers’ success, which is why we jump through hoops to give them the necessary resources for thriving in the current economy,” noted Curt Hayes, president/chief financial officer, of Capitol. “As we head into CEDIA, you can be sure that any pro that takes part in our training and visits the booth will leave with a greater understanding of the opportunities that will spell success in the immediate future and beyond.”

Keeping with the show’s theme, one of the booth’s kiosks will be dedicated to networking products and IP-based solutions. A second kiosk will focus on the show’s other theme: residential applications.

Capitol will conduct five training classes at CEDIA Expo 2012: Digital Surveillance using IP Cameras, Digital Signage, Sound Masking and Video Conferencing; Pro A/V Projectors & Screens; IP-Based Phone Systems; and Pro A/V Audio. Again, the emphasis will be on helping integrators grow their business using these high-growth categories, and Capitol will have products in its booth to support and illustrate all of its sessions, the distributor said.

In addition, Capitol is the sponsor of the Hyatt Regency Hotel’s key cards, so any attendee staying at the Hyatt can stop by the booth to enter a drawing for a free online shopping spree worth up to $1,000. The company is also sponsoring the trade show bags available at registration.
