BrandSource Preps For Late-August Show

BrandSource is gearing up for a late-summer return to Las Vegas, when the $14 billion merchandising group for independent dealers will descend on Caesars Palace for its biannual convention.

The four-day event, running Aug. 28-31, will feature over 200 booths by appliance, bedding, furniture, outdoor and CE vendors, filling some 120,000 square feet of exhibit space across three floors.

On tap are a series of educational sessions, product trainings and workshops led by industry experts and covering such topics as “How To Run A High Impact Promotion,” “Get Scrappy With Digital Marketing,” and “Ushering The New Manage: Leading Millennials.”

Delivering the keynote is retail futurist and best-selling author Doug Stephens, whose insights have influenced companies ranging from Intel and Google to The Home Depot and Walmart.

BrandSource itself is a 100 percent member-owned organization with nearly 4,500 member dealers.

In related news, BrandSource’s custom integration and specialty A/V affiliate, ProSource, has added Future Automation to its vendor roster.

The privately held business, known for its flat-panel mounts and automation devices, “has great engineering behind their product and a focus and passion for the custom integration channel,” said ProSource business development director Andy Orozco. “So it made natural sense that they were evaluated as a potential vendor by our CI committee.”

Future Automation president Ollie French will formally christen the partnership at CEDIA Expo, where he will attend ProSource’s annual industry reception at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel on Sept. 14, and work the ProSource display booth, No. 5351.

With more than 500 members and over $4.5 billion in sell-through, the not-for-profit ProSource cooperative is the largest buying group for specialty A/V retailers and custom integrators.
