BrandSource Launching Local Marketing Initiative

Bringing “hometown” dealer tool to next week’s convention.

BrandSource’s in-house ad agency, AVB Marketing, has something new up its sleeve.

Continuing its emphasis on digital advertising with a local marketing focus, the company is launching a “Tell Your Story” initiative designed to further connect member dealers with customers.

The program, which will be introduced next week at the buying group’s National Convention in Las Vegas, will help dealers craft their “hometown” stories, as digital marketing continues to become the new word-of-mouth.

“Eighty-eight percent of consumers are online in today’s day and age,” noted BrandSource chief marketing officer John White. “Our members need the best website and digital footprint to stay current and competitive in a rapidly changing market.”

To accomplish that, AVB Marketing leverages its unique partnership and top ad-agency rating with Google, and works one-on-one with dealers to implement such resources as website development, content production and management, social platform and ad management, on-site video production, and email marketing.

The services provide members with an average 17-percent boost in business, White said, at what the group alluded to as “the lowest cost per click in the industry.”

In other BrandSource convention news, Cloud software company Wondersign will offer a discounted plan to member dealers for its “endless aisle” kiosk, which allows customers to shop for furniture, appliances and consumer electronics products that aren’t displayed on the sales floor.

The digital catalog and attendant touchscreen displays lead to impulse buys, higher average ticket size and increased customer satisfaction and retention, Wondersign said.

“When the independent dealers marry the newest retail technologies like Wondersign that are becoming increasingly available and affordable, with a well-focused, small-store format, he or she is standing on firm ground,” said BrandSource home furnishings VP Michael Allen.

The annual BrandSource National Convention will run Aug. 26-29 at Caesars Palace.
