Azione Tops $500M Mark In Group Sales

The addition of five new dealers to Azione Unlimited has put the four-year-old buying group for custom retailers and integrators past the half-billion-dollar mark in dealer-member sales.

According to Azione founder and president Richard Glikes, 22 dealers have joined the education and buying organization this year, including seven in May alone, bringing total retail membership to 155 and putting the group on track to meet its goal of 250 dealers by the end of 2017.

Azione also maintains a contingent of vendor members, which is unique among industry buying groups.

Its burgeoning membership ranks earned dealers $474,567 in group growth rebates last year, Glikes noted, while upfront discounts deducted directly off dealer invoices (DFI) total close to $1.1 million.

Still, “The Azione group touts far more benefit than mere ‘points off’ the price list,” Glikes stressed. “Azione has made it a priority to educate its membership on best practices and being profit oriented, not sales oriented … the emphasis is on the importance of sharing ideas and the concept that strengthening the individual dealer strengthens the group and vice versa.”

The latest member additions include:

*Chameleon Technologies, Santa Monica, Calif.;

*Blueprint Audio Visual, Pearl City, Hawaii;

*Cloud9 Smarthome, New York;

* Legato Home Music and Theater Systems, Santa Monica, Calif.; and

*New Box Solutions, Van Nuys, Calif.
