Philadelphia – Almo, the national majap and CE distributor, reported a sharp spike in attendance at its regional trade shows this year.

The gains included a 43 percent increase at its Upper Midwest Expo in Minneapolis and double the turnout at its West Coast Expo in Los Angeles earlier this year.

The expos are private road shows that provide product previews, training, one-on-one meetings, special discounts and peer networking opportunities to Almo customers.

The distributor attributes their increased attendance to last year’s decision to reduce the number of regional events from six to four, and to make the remaining shows larger and their hours longer.

This year’s show highlights included new category offerings within the expos’ Home and Outdoor Living section; live demos by Samsung and Sharp; and in-depth training sessions by Electrolux, Haier, LG and Samsung.

Almo is expected to post its 2015 show schedule shortly at Almo.com/Expo.
