Brooklyn, N.Y. — Adorama and MakerBot have teamed up for an in-store partnership and reseller agreement.
Under the partnership, MakerBot will be the exclusive “3D Printing Partner of Choice” for the photo specialty retailer, which will feature a dedicated area for the Replicator desktop 3D printers, Digitizer desktop 3D scanner and the printers’ filaments. The retailer will also sell MakerBot products on its website, Adorama.com.
According to Brian Green, Adorama marketing VP, photographers, videographers and sound technicians are among some of the most prolific users of MakerBot 3D printing products, creating clips, holders, mounts, rails and other accessories according to their own needs and specifications.
The Home Depot announced earlier this week that it would be trialing the 3D printers online and in about a dozen stores.
