Charleston, S.C. – ADI, the global security and low-voltage distributor, has opened its 103rd sales facility in North America.
The new branch, located here, employs the company’s new, and smaller, Express store concept, designed to help ADI extend its reach into new markets, reduce travel time between locations, and better serve its dealer base more cost effectively, the distributor said.
Although about half the size of a typical ADI facility, the format features a sales counter, dedicated training space and a warehouse, and offers the same product availability, inventory and service, the company said.
Charleston represents ADI’s second Express location, following its debut in La Vista, Neb., last spring with a 3,500-square-foot facility.
“We are extremely excited to continue our expansion efforts with this new branch in Charleston,” said newly-named ADI Americas president Rob Aarnes. “We are committed to delivering value to our dealers, and the smaller store model allows us to expand our reach into new geographic markets.”
ADI’s 103 sales branches are supplied by nine major distribution centers in North America, although dealers can also purchase inventory online for delivery or branch pick up.
