AcceptanceNOW (ANOW), which operates lease-to-own finance kiosks within retail stores nationwide, will be exhibiting at the National Retail Federation’s NRF Retail’s Big Show 2017.
The event, running Jan. 15-17 at the Javits Convention Center in New York, is the leading trade show for retail operations.
ANOW, a division of rent-to-own chain Rent-A-Center (RAC), operates over 1,900 financing kiosks in appliance, furniture and CE stores including Big Sandy Superstore, Conn’s, hhgregg and NATM Buying Corp. members ABC Warehouse, Electronic Express and Nebraska Furniture Mart.
Under the business model, ANOW purchases store merchandise on behalf of credit-challenged customers and leases it to them under a monthly payment schedule that includes a finance charge. Retailers are reimbursed for the cost of delivery and setup, and ANOW assumes responsibility for warrantee coverage and service following an initial delivery window.
Stephen McKinley, sales and client relations VP, said the kiosks have contributed over $2 billion in added sales to the company’s retail partners.
ANOW will be exhibiting in booth 627 at the trade show, where staffers will be handing out printed information featuring a golden key — representing “access to an untapped revenue source of credit-constrained consumers,” McKinley said.
