Glenview, Ill. - Kathryn M. Wolfe has been named president of Zenith Sales Company, the consumer electronics sales division of Zenith Electronics Corp.
Wolfe, 41, has been Zenith senior VP/product management and marketing since May 1998 and has been acting head of consumer sales since February. She replaces Bill Sims, who left Zenith in January to become president/CEO of LiveManuals, a division of e-SIM, a Jerusalem-based electronic product simulations company with U.S. offices in New York and Pasadena, Calif.
Wolfe becomes one of the first women in consumer electronics to head the sales operations of a leading consumer electronics brand. She has worked at Zenith since 1994 in various key management positions, including marketing VP, business reengineering, division VP, marketing and marketing director, the company said.
Prior to Zenith Wolfe worked for Teradyne Telecommunications, based in Deerfield, Ill., as new business development manager, and for Telilabs of Lisle, Ill., as systems manager and senior product marketing manager.
